Chinese (traditional)- And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows.
- For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!
- Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.
- For the law was not intended for people who do what is right. It is for people who are lawless and rebellious, who are ungodly and sinful, who consider nothing sacred and defile what is holy, who kill their father or mother or commit other murders. The law is for people who are sexually immoral, or who practice homosexuality, or are slave traders, liars, promise breakers, or who do anything else that contradicts the wholesome teaching that comes from the glorious Good News entrusted to me by our blessed God.
- If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it.
- The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.
- O God, you are my God;
I earnestly search for you.
My soul thirsts for you;
my whole body longs for you
in this parched and weary land
where there is no water. - So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.
- Pay your taxes, too, for these same reasons. For government workers need to be paid. They are serving God in what they do.
- For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen.
- God blesses those who work for peace,
for they will be called the children of God. - For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him.
- God blesses those whose hearts are pure,
for they will see God. - We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters.
- God blesses those who mourn,
for they will be comforted. - And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
- You are my rock and my fortress.
For the honor of your name, lead me out of this danger. - For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
- Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
- If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.
- Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.
- If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.
- God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him,
for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. - But don’t be so concerned about perishable things like food. Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that the Son of Man can give you. For God the Father has given me the seal of his approval.
- All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people.Be still, and know that I am God!
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world. Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening.Next verse!With image
