- We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
- O God, you are my God, I seek you,
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. - For the Son of Man came to seek out and to save the lost.
- Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible.”
- Lead me in your truth, and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all day long. - For ‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said,
‘For we too are his offspring.’ - Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.
- Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning,
for in you I put my trust.
Teach me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul. - Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
- See that none of you repays evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to all.
- For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you should follow in his steps.
- Only fear the Lord, and serve him faithfully with all your heart; for consider what great things he has done for you.
- Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
- Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”
- For I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance.
- He replied, “What is impossible for mortals is possible for God.”
- For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
- For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
- But I say to you, Do not swear at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, or by the earth, for it is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
- But he was wounded for our transgressions,
crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the punishment that made us whole,
and by his bruises we are healed. - I shall walk at liberty,
for I have sought your precepts. - Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins.
- For whoever finds me finds life
and obtains favor from the Lord. - I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope.
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty,
and one whose temper is controlled than one who captures a city.
