I never shrank back from telling you what you needed to hear, either publicly or in your homes. | I did not hesitate to tell you what was for your benefit as I proclaimed the word to you and taught you publicly as well as from house to house. |
Get wisdom; develop good judgment. Don’t forget my words or turn away from them. | Acquire wisdom and gain understanding; never forget or turn aside from my words. |

The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. | Let what you heard from the beginning remain in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, then you will remain in the Son and in the Father. |
But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth. | The face of the Lord is turned against those who do evil, to erase all memory of them from the earth. |
The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever. | The Lord will protect you against all evil; he will watch over your life. The Lord will watch over your coming and your going both now and forevermore. |
You know what I long for, Lord; you hear my every sigh. | O Lord, all my longing is known to you, and my sighs are not hidden from you. |

For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory. | You are a place of refuge for me; you preserve me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah |
And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. | She will give birth to a son, and you shall name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. |
