- For light produces all goodness and righteousness and truth.

- A wholesome tongue is a tree of life,
but an undisciplined tongue crushes the spirit. - For you did not receive a spirit of slavery leading to fear; rather, you received the Spirit of adoption, enabling us to cry out, “Abba! Father!”
- The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me
because the Lord has anointed me.
He has sent me to announce good news to the oppressed,
to strengthen the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom to those held in captivity
and release to those who have been imprisoned. - Do you not realize that you are God’s temple, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

and there is no fruit on the vines,
even though the olive crop will fail
and the orchards will yield no food,
even though the flock is cut off from the fold
and there is no herd in the stalls,
I will continue to rejoice in the Lord,
and exult in the God of my salvation. - And just as no human being comprehends any person’s innermost being except the person’s own spirit within him, so also no one comprehends what pertains to God except the Spirit of God.
- The tongue has the power over life and death;
those who cherish it will enjoy its fruits. - And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who are peacemakers.
- If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, then the one who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwells in you.
- Stay awake and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak.
- When the Advocate comes
whom I will send you from the Father,
the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father,
he will testify on my behalf. - God is Spirit,
and those who worship him
must worship in Spirit and truth. - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
- In the same way, even the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs that cannot be put into words.
- I myself did not know him,
but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me,
‘The one on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest
is the one who is to baptize with the Holy Spirit.’
