| For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age. | For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God. |

God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. | I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose. | I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die. |
| Let us test and examine our ways, and return to the Lord! | Instead, let us test and examine our ways. Let us turn back to the Lord. |
