- For who is God besides the Lord?
And who is the Rock except our God? - For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
- But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- For who is God besides the Lord?
And who is the Rock except our God? - And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
- His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
- For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
- Keep me safe, my God,
for in you I take refuge. - You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.
- See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
- As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God. - For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
- For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
- For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.
- Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
- Let us examine our ways and test them,
and let us return to the Lord. - He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.
- For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
- Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God. - The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today.
- And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors. - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
- For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.
- This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
- For this is what the Lord has commanded us:
“I have made you a light for the Gentiles,
that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.”
For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.Next verse! With image
