- Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
- Not to us, Lord, not to us
but to your name be the glory,
because of your love and faithfulness. - Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God. - As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God. - If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.
- And if we are careful to obey all this law before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us, that will be our righteousness.
- Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.
- See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
- This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
- His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
- For the Lord is our judge,
the Lord is our lawgiver,
the Lord is our king;
it is he who will save us. - The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today.
- Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. - You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water. - For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.
- He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.
- Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God. - For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
- When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.
- There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his.
- And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors. - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
- All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
- Let us examine our ways and test them,
and let us return to the Lord. - The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.Next verse!With image
