God gives israel (2/4)

  • Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
  • The wicked borrow and do not repay,
    but the righteous give generously.
  • You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
  • But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
  • This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot.
  • Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
  • Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
  • Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
  • A generous person will prosper;
whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
  • A wise son brings joy to his father,
but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.
  • I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
  • The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
  • Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.
  • He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
    Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
  • All this also comes from the Lord Almighty,
    whose plan is wonderful,
    whose wisdom is magnificent.
  • When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.
  • Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.
  • By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life.
  • The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife.
  • How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of those who bring good news,
    who proclaim peace,
    who bring good tidings,
    who proclaim salvation,
    who say to Zion,
    “Your God reigns!”
  • Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
  • I will strengthen Judah
and save the tribes of Joseph.
    I will restore them
because I have compassion on them.
    They will be as though
    I had not rejected them,
for I am the Lord their God
    and I will answer them.
  • “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
  • To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
  • The Lord your God is with you,
    the Mighty Warrior who saves.
    He will take great delight in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing.

My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?
