- God sets the lonely in families,
he leads out the prisoners with singing;
but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. - A gift opens the way
and ushers the giver into the presence of the great. - The Lord gives sight to the blind,
the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down,
the Lord loves the righteous. - You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- A generous person will prosper;
whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. - But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
- This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot.
- Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
- I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
- Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.

whose plan is wonderful,
whose wisdom is magnificent. - When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.

- By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life. - The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife.
- How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
who bring good tidings,
who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion,
“Your God reigns!” - Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
- I will strengthen Judah
and save the tribes of Joseph.
I will restore them
because I have compassion on them.
They will be as though
I had not rejected them,
for I am the Lord their God
and I will answer them. - My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God? - If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.
“In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
