a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him. - The prospect of the righteous is joy,
but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing. - Cast your cares on the Lord
and he will sustain you;
he will never let
the righteous be shaken. - The Lord gives sight to the blind,
the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down,
the Lord loves the righteous. - Do not envy the violent
or choose any of their ways.
For the Lord detests the perverse
but takes the upright into his confidence. - But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
This is what the Lord says:
“Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls.
But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’”If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.Next verse!With image
