Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket… Matthew 5:15-16

Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Your light must shine before people in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:15-16	No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. God is not a man, that He would lie, Nor a son of man, that He would change His mind; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Numbers 23:19	God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through? God reliability promises

When good things increase, those who consume them increase. So what is the advantage to their owners except to look at them? Ecclesiastes 5:11	The more you have, the more people come to help you spend it. So what good is wealth—except perhaps to watch it slip through your fingers! materialism money desires
Urge slaves to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be pleasing, not argumentative, not stealing, but showing all good faith so that they will adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in every respect. Titus 2:9-10	Slaves must always obey their masters and do their best to please them. They must not talk back or steal, but must show themselves to be entirely trustworthy and good. Jeremiah 10:3-5	Their ways are futile and foolish. They cut down a tree, and a craftsman carves an idol. They decorate it with gold and silver and then fasten it securely with hammer and nails so it won’t fall over. Their gods are like helpless scarecrows in a cucumber field! Take words with you and return to the Lord. Say to Him, “Take away all guilt And receive us graciously, So that we may present the fruit of our lips.” Hosea 14:2	Bring your confessions, and return to the Lord. Say to him, “Forgive all our sins and graciously receive us, so that we may offer you our praises.” conversion forgiveness

This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. The steps of a man are established by the Lord, And He delights in his way. Psalm 37:23	The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. serving obedience trust

Be strong and let your heart take courage, All you who wait for the Lord. Psalm 31:24	So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord! hope encouragement heart
But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of God’s grace.
