Chinese (traditional)- Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
- The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
- As in water face answereth to face,
so the heart of man to man. - Create in me a clean heart, O God;
and renew a right spirit within me. - The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:
therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
and with my song will I praise him. - Teach me thy way, O Lord;
I will walk in thy truth:
unite my heart to fear thy name. - With my whole heart have I sought thee:
O let me not wander from thy commandments. - And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
- A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:
but a broken spirit drieth the bones. - I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. - Hope deferred maketh the heart sick:
but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. - Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever:
for they are the rejoicing of my heart. - For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
- I will praise thee with uprightness of heart,
when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. - Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop:
but a good word maketh it glad. - Search me, O God, and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. - This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
- Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.
- Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
- Blessed are they that keep his testimonies,
and that seek him with the whole heart. - The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:
a broken and a contrite heart,
O God, thou wilt not despise. - Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path. - If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
- The tongue of the just is as choice silver:
the heart of the wicked is little worth. - Let the words of my mouth,
and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight,
O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring.Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.Next verse!With image
