- God is not human, that he should lie,
or the son of man, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act,
does he promise and then not fulfill it? - For the Son of Man has come to seek out and to save what was lost.
- Let everything that breathes
offer praise to the Lord.
Alleluia. - Blessed be the God,
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us in Christ
with every spiritual blessing in the heavens. - Through the grace that God has bestowed upon me, I advise every one of you not to think of yourself too highly, but to regard yourself objectively, based on the measure of faith that God has granted.
- Therefore, accept one another for the glory of God, just as Christ has accepted you.
- No one can have greater love
than to lay down his life for his friends. - When you make a vow to God, do not delay in fulfilling it, for God has no pleasure in fools. Fulfill the vow you have made.
- The Lord has told you, O man, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
Only this: to do what is right, to show mercy,
and to walk humbly with your God. - Therefore, when someone is guilty of any one of these things, he shall confess the sin he has committed.
- As for me, I trust in your kindness;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord
because he has been good to me. - We have come to know
and to believe in
the love that God has for us.
God is love,
and whoever abides in love
abides in God,
and God in him. - And yet he is aware of everywhere I go;
if he were to test me, I would emerge like pure gold.
My footsteps have not strayed from the path he established;
I have followed his way and never turned aside. - For this day in the city of David there has been born to you a Savior who is Christ, the Lord.
- The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has been unable to overcome it. - He said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has been raised. He is not here. See the place where they laid him.”
- The one who eats everything must not look contemptuously on the one who does not, and the one who abstains must not pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed both.
- He has satisfied the thirsty
and filled the hungry with good things. - And whoever does not provide for relatives, especially for those who are living with him, has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
- Fear not, little flock, for your Father has chosen to give you the kingdom.
- His divine power has bestowed on us everything that is necessary for life and for devotion through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue.
- Beloved,
we are God’s children now.
What we shall be
has not yet been revealed.
However, we do know that when he appears
we shall be like him,
for we shall see him as he really is.
Everyone who has this hope in him
keeps himself pure,
just as he is pure. - Whoever believes in him is not condemned,
but whoever does not believe in him
already stands condemned,
because he has not believed in the name
of the only-begotten Son of God. - For so has the Lord commanded us to do, saying,
‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles
so that you may bring salvation
to the farthest corners of the earth.’ - This is the end of my teaching.
All has been heard.
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for that is the responsibility of everyone.
As long as the goodwill is present, the gift will be acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.Ah, Lord God, you made the heavens and the earth by your great power and your outstretched arm. Nothing is impossible for you. Trust wholeheartedly in the Lord
rather than relying on your own intelligence.
In everything you do, acknowledge him,
and he will see that your paths are straight.Next verse! With image
