- Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.
- Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
- And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
- Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation:
and thy right hand hath holden me up,
and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Thou hast enlarged my steps under me,
that my feet did not slip. - A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth:
and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! - For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
- Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
- Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
- When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
- Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
- He that hath no rule over his own spirit
is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. - Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
- And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
- He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
- Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord;
and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. - As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
- No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
- And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
- A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly:
and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. - Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
- For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
- Surely he hath borne our griefs,
and carried our sorrows:
yet we did esteem him stricken,
smitten of God, and afflicted. - The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me;
because the Lord hath anointed me
to preach good tidings unto the meek;
he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. - Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.
- And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Who hath wrought and done it,
calling the generations from the beginning?
I the Lord, the first,
