Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.
And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. Jesus ate nothing all that time and became very hungry.Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.
And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.”And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him.And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him.
I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
He was despised and rejected— a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care.He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does.For the word of the Lord is right, And all His work is done in truth.

The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way.
The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him.The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.
When you become aware of your guilt in any of these ways, you must confess your sin.And it shall be, when he is guilty in any of these matters, that he shall confess that he has sinned in that thing.
He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said, “Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”
When Jesus heard this, he said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.”When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.”
For the Lord is our judge, our lawgiver, and our king. He will care for us and save us.For the Lord is our Judge, The Lord is our Lawgiver, The Lord is our King; He will save us.
What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.
And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else.Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.
Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness.The Lord is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works.
And he went to the place of the dead. There, in torment, he saw Abraham in the far distance with Lazarus at his side. The rich man shouted, ‘Father Abraham, have some pity! Send Lazarus over here to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. I am in anguish in these flames.’And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ ”
Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor.Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.
