| Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. | Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. | He has made everything suitable for its time; moreover he has put a sense of past and future into their minds, yet they cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. |
| He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. | He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. |
| So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. | Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you in due time. |
