Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. You have heard the commandment that says, ‘You must not commit adultery.’ But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart. | You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery;’ but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. |
Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation. | Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart. Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other. | Know therefore today, and take it to heart, that Yahweh himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath. There is no one else. |
May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed. | May he grant you your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your counsel. |

So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless. | Therefore remove sorrow from your heart, and put away evil from your flesh; for youth and the dawn of life are vanity. |

For man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.” |
Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’ | He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water. |
Rumors are dainty morsels that sink deep into one’s heart. | The words of a gossip are like dainty morsels: they go down into a person’s innermost parts. |
We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps. | A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. |
Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. | Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. |
