| Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope set on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. | Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. |
| God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. | God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. |
| Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. | Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. |
| So Peter was kept in the prison, but prayer for him was being made to God intensely by the church. | Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. |

| By this we know that we remain in Him and He in us, because He has given to us of His Spirit. | Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. |
| But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. | Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. |
| The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, And He knows those who take refuge in Him. | The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. |
| But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never be thirsty; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up to eternal life. | But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. |
| Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him. | Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. |
| Then Peter came up and said to Him, “Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me and I still forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy-seven times.” | Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. |
