Him37paul (2/4)

  • You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him.
  • Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”
  • If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.
  • Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.
  • I cried to him with my mouth,
    and high praise was on my tongue.
  • And they stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on his head and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
  • A man's gift makes room for him
    and brings him before the great.
  • Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
  • What is man that you are mindful of him,
    and the son of man that you care for him?
  • This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him
    and saved him out of all his troubles.
  • Seek the Lord while he may be found;
    call upon him while he is near.
  • To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.
  • This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
  • He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
  • For God alone my soul waits in silence;
    from him comes my salvation.
  • Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”
  • For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence,
    for my hope is from him.
  • For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
  • But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.
  • And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming.
  • God shall bless us;
    let all the ends of the earth fear him!
  • The Lord is my strength and my shield;
    in him my heart trusts, and I am helped;
    my heart exults,
    and with my song I give thanks to him.
  • Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
  • And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
  • “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
    “therefore I will hope in him.”

God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

But they who wait for the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.
