- The Lord is slow to anger and great in power,
And the Lord will by no means leave the guilty unpunished.
In the gale and the storm is His way,
And clouds are the dust beneath His feet. - Consequently, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His.
- For the Lord gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. - The one who overcomes will be clothed the same way, in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
- For the Lord takes pleasure in His people;
He will glorify the lowly with salvation. - She will give birth to a Son; and you shall name Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.
- Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised;
And His greatness is unsearchable. - If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in His sight, and listen to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I, the Lord, am your healer.
- A wise son makes a father glad,
But a foolish son is a grief to his mother. - Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good;
For His faithfulness is everlasting. - With his mouth the godless person destroys his neighbor,
But through knowledge the righteous will be rescued. - The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous,
And His ears are toward their cry for help. - But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to raise his eyes toward heaven, but was beating his chest, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’
- But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.
- One who walks with integrity, practices righteousness,
And speaks truth in his heart.
He does not slander with his tongue,
Nor do evil to his neighbor,
Nor bring shame on his friend. - For His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
- And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
- In that I am commanding you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, so that you may live and become numerous, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to take possession of it.
- And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
- Guarding the paths of justice,
And He watches over the way of His godly ones. - But He knows the way I take;
When He has put me to the test, I will come out as gold.
My foot has held on to His path;
I have kept His way and not turned aside. - Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,
On those who wait for His faithfulness. - For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.
- By this we know that we remain in Him and He in us, because He has given to us of His Spirit.
- And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.”
