- Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
The people He has chosen for His own inheritance. - Just as a father has compassion on his children,
So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him. - For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.
- Praise the Lord!
Blessed is a person who fears the Lord,
Who greatly delights in His commandments. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
All those who follow His commandments have a good understanding;
His praise endures forever. - And the Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them.
- The Lord also restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the Lord increased double all that Job had.
- Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His faithfulness to a thousand generations for those who love Him and keep His commandments.
- The husband must fulfill his duty to his wife, and likewise the wife also to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; and likewise the husband also does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
- Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt, and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just; and He is able to humble those who walk in pride.
- The good person out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil person out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.
- And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
- If anyone thinks himself to be religious, yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this person’s religion is worthless.
- And in Hades he raised his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his arms. And he cried out and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus, so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.’
- Who will repay each person according to his deeds.
- Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?
- You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and His provisions and His statutes which He has commanded you.
- A fool always loses his temper,
But a wise person holds it back. - And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, “THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
- For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.
- The Lord’s acts of mercy indeed do not end,
For His compassions do not fail.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness. - That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner self, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love.
- For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul?
- No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God remains in us, and His love is perfected in us.
- I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.
