For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.”And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. We all come to the end of our lives as naked and empty-handed as on the day we were born. We can’t take our riches with us.As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand.
So obey the commands of the Lord your God by walking in his ways and fearing him. Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
And he went to the place of the dead. There, in torment, he saw Abraham in the far distance with Lazarus at his side. The rich man shouted, ‘Father Abraham, have some pity! Send Lazarus over here to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. I am in anguish in these flames.’And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud. Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.
For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
