- For every house has a builder, but the one who built everything is God.

This I declare about the Lord:

- It is better to be godly and have little

- A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
- You can make many plans,
but the Lord’s purpose will prevail. - If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world.
- So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
- “All right, you may test him,” the Lord said to Satan. “Do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don’t harm him physically.” So Satan left the Lord’s presence.
- Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth,
but only the Lord can give an understanding wife. - Search for the Lord and for his strength;
continually seek him. - The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me,
for the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted
and to proclaim that captives will be released
and prisoners will be freed. - Seek the Lord, all who are humble,
and follow his commands.
Seek to do what is right
and to live humbly.
Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you—
protect you from his anger on that day of destruction. - For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church.
- The man who finds a wife finds a treasure,
and he receives favor from the Lord.
