- For I, the Lord, am your God
and I grasp your right hand.
It is I who say to you,
Do not fear; I will help you. - In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God. - Why are you so disheartened, O my soul?
Why do you sigh within me?
Place your hope in God;
for I will once again praise him,
my Savior and my God. - Be still and acknowledge that I am God,
exalted among the nations,
exalted on the earth. - For nothing will be impossible for God.

My soul yearns for you

- Does it now appear to you that I am trying to gain the approval of human beings rather than the approval of God? Am I seeking to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

a contrite and humble heart, O God,
you will not spurn. - I, the Lord, am your God. You must obey my laws and be careful to observe my ordinances. Keep holy my Sabbaths as a sign between me and you so that you will know that I am the Lord, your God.

For whoever does not love the brother
whom he has seen
cannot love God whom he has not seen. - No one has ever seen God,
but if we love one another,
God abides in us,
and his love is made complete in us. - God gave the midwives numerous families because they had feared God.
- Blessed are the pure of heart, for they will see God.
- Jesus looked at them and said, “For men it is impossible, but not for God. For God all things are possible.”
- Therefore, brethren, I implore you by the mercies of God to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice that is holy and acceptable to God—a spiritual act of worship.
