- Keep me safe, my God,
for in you I take refuge. - You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water. - My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
- I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you. - My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praise to you—
I whom you have delivered. - You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own.
- I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
- You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house.

Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. - I will praise you with an upright heart
as I learn your righteous laws. - Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
and because I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you,
nations in exchange for your life. - And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
- Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed;
save me and I will be saved,
for you are the one I praise. - Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
- Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything. But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.
- You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.
- I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
- I will be glad and rejoice in you;
I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High. - Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life. - I will exalt you, my God the King;
I will praise your name for ever and ever. - Then I acknowledged my sin to you
and did not cover up my iniquity.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.”
And you forgave the guilt of my sin. - Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time, and then I am going to the one who sent me.”
- Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands. - But I, with shouts of grateful praise,
will sacrifice to you.
What I have vowed I will make good.
I will say, ‘Salvation comes from the Lord.’ - I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors:
You have given me wisdom and power,
you have made known to me what we asked of you,
you have made known to us the dream of the king.
