- Know also that wisdom is like honey for you:
If you find it, there is a future hope for you,

- Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
- Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise.
- For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.
- Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
- Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent,
and discerning if they hold their tongues. - And if we are careful to obey all this law before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us, that will be our righteousness.

- If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
- If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
- As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.
- Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
- Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
- Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.
- Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. - If anyone sins and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands, even though they do not know it, they are guilty and will be held responsible.
- To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
- For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
- For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
- Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
