- Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. - This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.
- The Lord is good,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him. - Every word of God is flawless;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. - As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
- The Lord will rescue his servants;
no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. - This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
- All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.
- ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
- As for God, his way is perfect:
The Lord’s word is flawless;
he shields all who take refuge in him. - Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.
- The father of a righteous child has great joy;
a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him. - I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.” - As for God, his way is perfect:
The Lord’s word is flawless;
he shields all who take refuge in him. - God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
- And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.
- For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
- The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him. - The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
- In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.
- For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.
- Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
- Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:
He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun. - If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.
- Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
The Lord makes firm the steps
of the one who delights in him.Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.Next verse!With image
