- As for me, I trust in your kindness;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.

because he has been good to me. - Blessed be the God,
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us in Christ
with every spiritual blessing in the heavens. - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may grow rich in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
- Keep alert; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.

rather than relying on your own intelligence.
In everything you do, acknowledge him,
and he will see that your paths are straight. - But the Almighty we cannot find;
he is unequaled in power and judgment,
and in his righteousness he will not violate justice. - Nevertheless, do not rejoice in the knowledge that the spirits are subject to you. Rejoice rather that your names are inscribed in heaven.
- Indeed, persecution will afflict all who want to lead a godly life in Christ Jesus.
- Good and upright is the Lord;
therefore, he instructs sinners in his ways.
He guides the humble in what is right
and teaches them the path to follow. - Blessed are all those who fear the Lord
and walk in his ways. - Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a resolute spirit within me. - I treasure your word in my heart
for fear that I may sin against you. - If the Lord does not build the house,
those who construct it labor in vain.
If the Lord does not guard the city,
those who keep watch over it do so in vain. - Our help is in the name of the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has been unable to overcome it. - Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. - In God alone be at rest, O my soul;
it is from him that my hope comes. - And my God will fully supply all your needs out of the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
- For the entire Law can be summed up in a single commandment: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live in righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
- The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of distress.
