- Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call upon him while he is near. - And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.”
- For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
- What is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him? - Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
- One's pride will bring him low,
but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor. - So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them. - He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
- He reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what is in the darkness,
and the light dwells with him. - Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
- Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
- And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”
- If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
- Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”
- But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God. - Sing to God, sing praises to his name;
lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts;
his name is the Lord;
exult before him!
Father of the fatherless and protector of widows
is God in his holy habitation. - For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
- God shall bless us;
let all the ends of the earth fear him! - Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
- But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
- And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
- And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
- Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;
fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way,
over the man who carries out evil devices!
