I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was exalted with my tongue. | I lifted up my voice in prayer to him; his praise was on my tongue. |
So Peter was kept in the prison, but prayer for him was being made to God intensely by the church. | While Peter was thus imprisoned, the Church prayed fervently to God for him. |

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. | Is anyone among you sick? If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. | If we claim that we have fellowship with him while we continue to live in darkness, we are lying and do not live in the truth. |
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him. | But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. |
