- Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
- May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you. - Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
- But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
- Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God. - But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
- Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
- Unless the Lord builds the house,
the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the guards stand watch in vain. - Good and upright is the Lord;
therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.
He guides the humble in what is right
and teaches them his way. - Observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in obedience to him, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations, as written in the Law of Moses. Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go.
- The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
- Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight. - Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me. - Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
- Blessed are all who fear the Lord,
who walk in obedience to him. - You are my refuge and my shield;
I have put my hope in your word. - I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you. - Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
- I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
- Our help is in the name of the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
- How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity! - Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior. - Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
- The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble.
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.Next verse!With image
