- Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer.
- Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
- Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power.
- I delight in the way of your decrees
as much as in all riches. - Some take pride in chariots, and some in horses,
but our pride is in the name of the Lord our God. - Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.
- It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to put confidence in mortals. - Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me, and I in them.
- The Lord is just in all his ways,
and kind in all his doings. - Little children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.
- Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace—
in peace because they trust in you. - Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so you will live in the land, and enjoy security. - Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord.
- So we have known and believe the love that God has for us.
God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them. - For as all die in Adam, so all will be made alive in Christ.
- Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you will abide in the Son and in the Father.
- By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
- You then, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- God abides in those who confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and they abide in God.
- All who obey his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit that he has given us.
- When I am afraid,
I put my trust in you. - Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus.
- I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- A fool takes no pleasure in understanding,
but only in expressing personal opinion. - I will both lie down and sleep in peace;
for you alone, O Lord, make me lie down in safety.
In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I am not afraid;
what can flesh do to me?In reply he said to them, “Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none; and whoever has food must do likewise.” Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all consolation, who consoles us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to console those who are in any affliction with the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.Next verse!With image
