my God, in whom I trust.” - Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness:
He was manifested in the flesh,
vindicated by the Spirit,
seen by angels,
proclaimed among the nations,
believed on in the world,
taken up in glory. - If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.
- Our God is in the heavens;
he does all that he pleases. - For a thousand years in your sight
are but as yesterday when it is past,
or as a watch in the night. - And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.
