- Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
- Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
- It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in man. - Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
- Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
- Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.
- In the way of your testimonies I delight
as much as in all riches. - Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.
- The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and kind in all his works. - Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. - Trust in the Lord, and do good;
dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. - For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
- Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.
- So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
- Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father.
- Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
- You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you. - By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
- Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.
- A fool takes no pleasure in understanding,
but only in expressing his opinion. - In peace I will both lie down and sleep;
for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. - When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
- Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- The Lord is good,
a stronghold in the day of trouble;
he knows those who take refuge in him. - In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I shall not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me?
Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers.This God—his way is perfect;
the word of the Lord proves true;
he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age.Next verse!With image
