- In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.
- Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.
- I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
my soul shall be joyful in my God;
for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation,
he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments,
and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. - Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord;
that walketh in his ways. - Blessed are the undefiled in the way,
who walk in the law of the Lord. - Happy is the man that findeth wisdom,
and the man that getteth understanding. - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:
but a broken spirit drieth the bones. - Blessed are they that keep his testimonies,
and that seek him with the whole heart. - Although the fig tree shall not blossom,
neither shall fruit be in the vines;
the labour of the olive shall fail,
and the fields shall yield no meat;
the flock shall be cut off from the fold,
and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation. - He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good:
and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he. - A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth:
and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! - Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord,
that delighteth greatly in his commandments. - Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.
- That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.
- Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
- Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
- The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty;
he will save,
he will rejoice over thee with joy;
he will rest in his love,
he will joy over thee with singing. - Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
- I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
- And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else. Can a woman forget her sucking child,
that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?
yea, they may forget,
yet will I not forget thee.
Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands;
thy walls are continually before me.Next verse!With image
