- To get wisdom is to love oneself;
to keep understanding is to prosper. - Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.
- For
“Those who desire life
and desire to see good days,
let them keep their tongues from evil
and their lips from speaking deceit;
let them turn away from evil and do good;
let them seek peace and pursue it.” - Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trial, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment.
- Keep his statutes and his commandments, which I am commanding you today for your own well-being and that of your descendants after you, so that you may long remain in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for all time.

- So now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? Only to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord your God and his decrees that I am commanding you today, for your own well-being.
- When words are many, transgression is not lacking,
but the prudent are restrained in speech. - I urge you, brothers and sisters, to keep an eye on those who cause dissensions and offenses, in opposition to the teaching that you have learned; avoid them.
- If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit.
- Discipline yourselves, keep alert. Like a roaring lion your adversary the devil prowls around, looking for someone to devour.
- “Ananias,” Peter asked, “why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the proceeds of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, were not the proceeds at your disposal? How is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You did not lie to us but to God!”
- I will both lie down and sleep in peace;
for you alone, O Lord, make me lie down in safety. - Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise.
- Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer.
- Remove far from me falsehood and lying;
give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with the food that I need.
