- This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it. - With my whole heart I seek you;
let me not wander from your commandments! - Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
- Let your eyes look directly forward,
and your gaze be straight before you. - Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord! - Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.
- But let justice roll down like waters,
and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. - Let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him,
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. - Whoever is wise, let him understand these things;
whoever is discerning, let him know them;
for the ways of the Lord are right,
and the upright walk in them,
but transgressors stumble in them. - Keep steady my steps according to your promise,
and let no iniquity get dominion over me. - Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God!
Let your good Spirit lead me
on level ground! - Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.
- In you, O Lord, do I take refuge;
let me never be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me! - Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
let this be made known in all the earth. - Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
- And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
- Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
- Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.
- Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
- Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil.
- Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.
- And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
- If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
- And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.
- Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
