- Keep your tongue from evil,
and your lips from speaking deceit. - Deliver me, O Lord,

and put devious talk far from you. - For
“Those who desire life
and desire to see good days,
let them keep their tongues from evil
and their lips from speaking deceit;
let them turn away from evil and do good;
let them seek peace and pursue it.” - When words are many, transgression is not lacking,
but the prudent are restrained in speech. - Because if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth. - In all toil there is profit,
but mere talk leads only to poverty. - I had eaten no rich food, no meat or wine had entered my mouth, and I had not anointed myself at all, for the full three weeks.
- Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear.
- This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to act in accordance with all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall be successful.
