You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.
And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.
O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.
Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old. Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O Lord.Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you, Lord, are good.
For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
