Bible Verses about 'Maketh'
- The Lord makes poor and makes rich,
he humbles and he also exalts. - Anxiety in the human heart weighs it down,
but a kind word makes it glad. - A gift opens doors for the giver
and wins him access to the powerful. - The blessing of the Lord is what brings wealth,
and our toil adds nothing to it. - A wise son brings joy to his father,
but a foolish son gives grief to his mother. - Hope deferred sickens the heart,
but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life. - The Lord is my shepherd;
there is nothing I shall lack.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me to tranquil streams. - Such hope will not be doomed to disappointment, because the love of God has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.
- And the one who searches hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.
- Just as you do not know the path of the wind
or how the body is formed in a woman’s womb,
so you do not know the work of God,
the Creator of all. - He has made everything suitable for its time, and he has given men a sense of past and future, but they never have the slightest comprehension of what God has wrought from beginning to end.
- In the same way, even the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs that cannot be put into words.
- Do not make gods from silver or from gold instead of me. You will not make them for yourselves.
- Make your ways known to me, O Lord;
teach me your paths. - I will make haste and not delay
to observe your precepts. - He said to them, “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
- You, O Lord, are light for my lamp;
O my God, you make my darkness turn to light. - I will put my Spirit in you and make you follow my statutes and my ordinances.
- Our help is in the name of the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - The Lord makes a man’s steps secure
when he approves of his conduct. - A man may plan his own course,
but the Lord makes his steps secure. - It is rash to pledge a sacred gift,
or to make a vow and then have second thoughts. - Make every possible effort to preserve the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
- Come forth! Let us bow down to worship him;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker. - Woe to anyone who rises up against his Maker,
or to the pot that is displeased with the potter.
Does the clay say to the one who molds it,
“What are you doing?
Your work makes no sense.”
