- The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
he brings low, he also exalts. - Anxiety weighs down the human heart,
but a good word cheers it up. - The blessing of the Lord makes rich,
and he adds no sorrow with it. - A gift opens doors;
it gives access to the great. - A wise child makes a glad father,
but a foolish child is a mother's grief. - Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life. - The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters. - And hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.
- And God, who searches the heart, knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
- Just as you do not know how the breath comes to the bones in the mother's womb, so you do not know the work of God, who makes everything.
- He has made everything suitable for its time; moreover he has put a sense of past and future into their minds, yet they cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
- Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.
- You shall not make gods of silver alongside me, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold.
- Make me to know your ways, O Lord;
teach me your paths. - God, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
and makes me tread upon the heights. - So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.
- And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.”
- For all of us make many mistakes. Anyone who makes no mistakes in speaking is perfect, able to keep the whole body in check with a bridle.
- And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace for those who make peace.
- Great peace have those who love your law;
nothing can make them stumble. - To make an apt answer is a joy to anyone,
and a word in season, how good it is! - O give thanks to the Lord, call on his name,
make known his deeds among the peoples. - By insolence the heedless make strife,
but wisdom is with those who take advice. - I will both lie down and sleep in peace;
for you alone, O Lord, make me lie down in safety. - O come, let us worship and bow down,
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!
Give heed to my reproof;
I will pour out my thoughts to you;
I will make my words known to you.He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken. Do not adorn yourselves outwardly by braiding your hair, and by wearing gold ornaments or fine clothing; rather, let your adornment be the inner self with the lasting beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in God's sight.Next verse!With image
