  • And the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I wish to make another creature who will be like him.”
  • If you would seriously consider my reproof,
    I would pour out my thoughts to you
    and make my precepts known to you.
  • When you make a vow to God, do not delay in fulfilling it, for God has no pleasure in fools. Fulfill the vow you have made.
  • He who guards his mouth makes his life secure,
    but one who talks excessively ensures his own downfall.
  • Let us then make every effort to enter into that rest, so that no one may fall by following that example of refusing to believe.
  • Make sure that no one pays back evil for evil. Rather, always aim to achieve what is best for each other and for everyone.
  • I have made your name known to them,
    and I will make it known,
    so that the love with which you loved me
    may be in them, and I in them.
  • I will, thereby, display my greatness and my holiness and make myself known to many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
  • Jesus answered him,
    “Whoever loves me will keep my word,
    and my Father will love him,
    and we will come to him
    and make our abode with him.”
  • As sorrowful, and yet we are always rejoicing; as poor, and yet we make many rich; as having nothing, and yet we possess everything.

  • To these God chose to make known how rich is the priceless glory that this mystery brings to the Gentiles—Christ in you, your hope of glory.
  • You intended to do evil to me, but God decided to make it serve a good, to fulfill that which today has come true: to keep alive a numerous people.
  • Wealth and honor are from you,
    you reign over all.
    In your hand are power and might;
    it to is in your hand make great and to give strength to all.
  • We know that God makes all things work together for good for those who love him and who are called according to his purpose.
  • I lift up my eyes to the mountains;
    from where will I receive help?
    My help comes from the Lord,
    the Maker of heaven and earth.
  • Brethren, you were called to freedom. However, make sure that you do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. Instead, serve one another in love.
  • Therefore, take care to live as intelligent people, and do not be like those who are senseless. Make the most of the present time, for this is a wicked age.
  • I am the true vine,
    and my Father is the vinegrower.
    He removes every branch
    that does not bear fruit,
    and every branch that does
    he prunes to make it bear even more.
  • Commit your way to the Lord;
    place your trust in him, and he will act.
    He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,
    and the justice of your cause, like the noonday.
  • Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from anything that can defile flesh or spirit, and thereby make our holiness perfect in the fear of God.
  • For all of us fall short in many ways. Anyone who never makes a mistake in speech has reached perfection and is able to control every part of his body.
  • Make every effort to present yourself before God as one who is worthy of his approval, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, but who imparts the word of truth without any alteration.

You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its taste, what can be done to make it salty once again? It is no longer good for anything, and thus it is cast out and trampled underfoot.
