- For this reason you must be ready as well; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.

- But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God does not see as man sees, since man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
- His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter the joy of your master.’
- While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice from the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to Him!”
- But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you will be My people; and you shall walk entirely in the way which I command you, so that it may go well for you.’
- What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before?
- It goes well for a person who is gracious and lends;
He will maintain his cause in judgment. - For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
- On the day of prosperity be happy,
But on the day of adversity consider:
God has made the one as well as the other
So that a person will not discover anything that will come after him. - Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.
- And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as He did upon us at the beginning.
- And the Lord God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. Then the man said,
“At last this is bone of my bones,
And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called ‘woman,’
Because she was taken out of man.”
For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. - So you shall keep His statutes and His commandments which I am giving you today, so that it may go well for you and for your children after you, and that you may live long on the land which the Lord your God is giving you for all time.
- If only they had such a heart in them, to fear Me and keep all My commandments always, so that it would go well with them and with their sons forever!
- You shall walk entirely in the way which the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and that it may be well for you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you will possess.
- Yet as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives,
And at the last, He will take His stand on the earth. - For You created my innermost parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well. - For since by a man death came, by a Man also came the resurrection of the dead.
- Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus also was baptized, and while He was praying, heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came from heaven: “You are My beloved Son, in You I am well pleased.”
- Taste and see that the Lord is good;
How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! - Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls;
All Your breakers and Your waves have passed over me. - But when Jesus heard this, He responded to him, “Do not be afraid any longer; only believe, and she will be made well.”
- So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
- While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
- Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time.
- For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.
- But He was pierced for our offenses,
He was crushed for our wrongdoings;
The punishment for our well-being was laid upon Him,
And by His wounds we are healed. - When a man takes a new wife, he is not to go out with the army, nor be assigned any duty; he shall be free at home for one year and shall make his wife whom he has taken happy.
- Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
- Looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
- Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.
- I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth. - So you are to know in your heart that the Lord your God was disciplining you just as a man disciplines his son.
- Therefore, concerning the eating of food sacrificed to idols, we know that an idol is nothing at all in the world, and that there is no God but one.
- Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, set your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
- I have set the Lord continually before me;
Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. - When good things increase, those who consume them increase. So what is the advantage to their owners except to look at them?
- But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.
- Look at the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather crops into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more important than they?
- You call Me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord’; and you are correct, for so I am.
- Therefore, since He has been exalted at the right hand of God, and has received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, He has poured out this which you both see and hear.
- Therefore let’s approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need.
- For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus.
- For this reason also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
- No one has seen God at any time; God the only Son, who is in the arms of the Father, He has explained Him.
