Bible Verses about 'Man at the well'
- You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder.

Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and clings to his wife, and they become one flesh. - Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way.
- But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
- His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy slave; you have been trustworthy in a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’
- But this command I gave them, “Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people; and walk only in the way that I command you, so that it may be well with you.”
- While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud a voice said, “This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased; listen to him!”
- You must follow exactly the path that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live, and that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you are to possess.
- It is well with those who deal generously and lend,
who conduct their affairs with justice. - Keep his statutes and his commandments, which I am commanding you today for your own well-being and that of your descendants after you, so that you may long remain in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for all time.
- For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
- For the Son of Man came to seek out and to save the lost.
- In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider; God has made the one as well as the other, so that mortals may not find out anything that will come after them.
- For I know that my Redeemer lives,
and that at the last he will stand upon the earth. - And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as it had upon us at the beginning.
- If only they had such a mind as this, to fear me and to keep all my commandments always, so that it might go well with them and with their children forever!
- Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner.”
- For it was you who formed my inward parts;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
that I know very well. - The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, all that he has is in your power; only do not stretch out your hand against him!” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
- For he has graciously granted you the privilege not only of believing in Christ, but of suffering for him as well.
- Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, “You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased.”
- Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
- When a man is newly married, he shall not go out with the army or be charged with any related duty. He shall be free at home one year, to be happy with the wife whom he has married.

at the thunder of your cataracts;
all your waves and your billows
have gone over me. - For just as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.
- But when he heard this, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.”
- Look at the proud!
Their spirit is not right in them,
but the righteous live by their faith. - So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
- All these were constantly devoting themselves to prayer, together with certain women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, as well as his brothers.
- Well then, does God supply you with the Spirit and work miracles among you by your doing the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?
- Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me.
- I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth. - Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.
- For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
- I know what it is to have little, and I know what it is to have plenty. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being well-fed and of going hungry, of having plenty and of being in need.
- But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died through the one man's trespass, much more surely have the grace of God and the free gift in the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abounded for the many.
- Just as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
- Fools show their anger at once,
but the prudent ignore an insult. - He answered, “Have you not read that the one who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
- Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
- I keep the Lord always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. - Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
- For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.
- Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you both see and hear.
- Therefore God also highly exalted him
and gave him the name
that is above every name,
so that at the name of Jesus
every knee should bend,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth. - Looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.
- For the Son of Man is to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay everyone for what has been done.
