Man (2/4)

For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his very life? Or what can he give in exchange for his life?
The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe. The fear of others will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is secure.
This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. In my anguish I cried out; the Lord heard my plea, and I was saved from all my troubles.
I, I am he who comforts you; who are you that you are afraid of man who dies, of the son of man who is made like grass.I, I alone, am the one who comforts you. Why then do you fear mortal men who must die, human beings who must perish like grass?
He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.He is not here. He has been raised. Remember what he told you while he was still in Galilee: that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners and be crucified and rise again on the third day.
When a man is newly married, he shall not go out with the army or be liable for any other public duty. He shall be free at home one year to be happy with his wife whom he has taken. If a man has recently been married, he is not to go off to battle nor have any other duty laid on him. He will be free to stay at home for one year so that he can bring happiness to the wife whom he has married.
A dishonest man spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends.A perverse man sows strife, and a tale-bearer destroys close friendships.

How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. How can a young man lead a spotless life? By living according to your word.
But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate. But from the very beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two become one flesh.’ And so they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.

What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”He replied, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’ and said: ‘That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two become one flesh’? And so they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.So if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out there. If they say, ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For just as lightning comes from the east and is visible even in the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
