- The ransom of a person’s life is his wealth,
But the poor hears no rebuke. - Blessed is a person who finds wisdom,
And one who obtains understanding. - A perverse person spreads strife,
And a slanderer separates close friends. - For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul?
- No one is to deceive you in any way! For it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
- Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
- For what does it benefit a person to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?
- A fool always loses his temper,
But a wise person holds it back. - But He said, “The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”
- There is a way which seems right to a person,
But its end is the way of death. - Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might reach out with his hand, and take fruit also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him out of the Garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken.
- Before destruction the heart of a person is haughty,
But humility goes before honor. - And the Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them.
- A person has joy in an apt answer,
And how delightful is a timely word! - Praise the Lord!
Blessed is a person who fears the Lord,
Who greatly delights in His commandments. - The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice,
And he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him. - “And they will be Mine,” says the Lord of armies, “on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will have compassion for them just as a man has compassion for his own son who serves him.”
- How much more valuable then is a person than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
- For who among people knows the thoughts of a person except the spirit of the person that is in him? So also the thoughts of God no one knows, except the Spirit of God.
- All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work.
- For the despairing man there should be kindness from his friend;
So that he does not abandon the fear of the Almighty. - It is better to take refuge in the Lord
Than to trust in people. - Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and through Him everyone who believes is freed from all things, from which you could not be freed through the Law of Moses.
- The mind of a person plans his way,
But the Lord directs his steps. - A fool’s anger is known at once,
But a prudent person conceals dishonor.
Behold, happy is the person whom God disciplines,
So do not reject the discipline of the Almighty.Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let’s cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.Next verse! With image
