- Nevertheless, as for you individually, each husband is to love his own wife the same as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.
- Who, as He already existed in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied Himself by taking the form of a bond-servant and being born in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death: death on a cross.
- A prudent person sees evil and hides himself;
But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty. - Behold, happy is the person whom God disciplines,
So do not reject the discipline of the Almighty. - So husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.

Nor cease to yield fruit. - Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! - The mind of a person plans his way,
But the Lord directs his steps. - With the faithful You show Yourself faithful;
With the blameless You prove Yourself blameless. - A fool’s anger is known at once,
But a prudent person conceals dishonor. - And Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road.
- A person of too many friends comes to ruin,
But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. - Like a city that is broken into and without walls
So is a person who has no self-control over his spirit. - Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him;
Do not get upset because of one who is successful in his way,
Because of the person who carries out wicked schemes. - He has told you, mortal one, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justice, to love kindness,
And to walk humbly with your God? - The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice,
And he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him. - For no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
- Anxiety in a person’s heart weighs it down,
But a good word makes it glad. - And looking at them, Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
- And He was saying, “That which comes out of the person, that is what defiles the person. For from within, out of the hearts of people, come the evil thoughts, acts of sexual immorality, thefts, murders, acts of adultery, deeds of greed, wickedness, deceit, indecent behavior, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile the person.”
- Words from the mouth of a wise person are gracious, while the lips of a fool consume him.
- Do not lie to one another, since you stripped off the old self with its evil practices, and have put on the new self, which is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created it.
- A rich person’s wealth is his strong city,
And like a high wall in his own imagination. - Looking at them, Jesus said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”
- You know this, my beloved brothers and sisters. Now everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
