So if someone tells you, ‘Look, the Messiah is out in the desert,’ don’t bother to go and look. Or, ‘Look, he is hiding here,’ don’t believe it! The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me? Psalm 118:6	The Lord is for me; I will not fear; What can man do to me? fear protection
Loyalty makes a person attractive. It is better to be poor than dishonest. Proverbs 19:22	What is desirable in a person is his kindness, And it is better to be a poor person than a liar. reliability money goodness

Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! Psalm 34:8	Taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! God blessing rest
Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the one who brings destruction. He will exalt himself and defy everything that people call god and every object of worship. Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good. Deuteronomy 8:5	So you are to know in your heart that the Lord your God was disciplining you just as a man disciplines his son. Father learning punishment

One Sabbath day as Jesus was walking through some grainfields, his disciples began breaking off heads of grain to eat. But the Pharisees said to Jesus, “Look, why are they breaking the law by harvesting grain on the Sabbath?” Jesus said to them, “Haven’t you ever read in the Scriptures what David did when he and his companions were hungry? He went into the house of God (during the days when Abiathar was high priest) and broke the law by eating the sacred loaves of bread that only the priests are allowed to eat. Yes, he humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? Matthew 16:26	For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul? materialism life soul
So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” Hebrews 13:6	So that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?” trust fear protection
