But consider the joy of those corrected by God! Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty when you sin.Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects; Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty.

Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
People may be right in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their heart.Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the hearts.
Not a single person on earth is always good and never sins.For there is not a just man on earth who does good And does not sin.

People with understanding control their anger; a hot temper shows great foolishness.He who is slow to wrath has great understanding, But he who is impulsive exalts folly.
Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
The rich think of their wealth as a strong defense; they imagine it to be a high wall of safety.The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own esteem.
A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls.Whoever has no rule over his own spirit Is like a city broken down, without walls.
No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?
The wicked borrow and never repay, but the godly are generous givers.The wicked borrows and does not repay, But the righteous shows mercy and gives.
Some people are always greedy for more, but the godly love to give!He covets greedily all day long, But the righteous gives and does not spare.
To the faithful you show yourself faithful; to those with integrity you show integrity.With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; With a blameless man You will show Yourself blameless.
“They will be my people,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “On the day when I act in judgment, they will be my own special treasure. I will spare them as a father spares an obedient child.”“They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them As a man spares his own son who serves him.”
There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Don’t envy violent people or copy their ways. Such wicked people are detestable to the Lord, but he offers his friendship to the godly.Do not envy the oppressor, And choose none of his ways; For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord, But His secret counsel is with the upright.
Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad.
