- Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
- My salvation and my honor depend on God;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge. - Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called

one with self-control than one who takes a city. - Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.
- When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.

like a seal on your arm;

and proclaim that his name is exalted.” - I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.
- So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?
- Who has done this and carried it through,
calling forth the generations from the beginning?
I, the Lord—with the first of them
and with the last—I am he. - But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
- For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
- Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
- The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory. If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
