Chinese (traditional)- As long as I remained silent,
my body wasted away
as the result of my groaning throughout the day. - But as for me, I will look to the Lord.
I place my hope in God my savior;
my God will hear me. - By this is my Father glorified,
that you bear much fruit
and become my disciples. - For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. - You are truly my rock and my fortress;
for the sake of your name, lead and guide me. - The Lord is my portion, I say to myself;
therefore, I will place my hope in him. - Why are you so disheartened, O my soul?
Why do you sigh within me?
Place your hope in God;
for I will once again praise him,
my Savior and my God. - When my anxious thoughts multiplied,
your comfort filled my soul with joy. - But you, O Lord, are a shield to protect me;
you are my glory and the one who raises my head high. - If you love me,
you will keep my commandments. - Your statutes are my everlasting heritage;
they are the very joy of my heart. - I stretch out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah - Listen, my son, and take my words to heart,
and the years of your life will be multiplied. - Surely God is my helper;
the Lord is the one who sustains me. - I lift up my eyes to the mountains;
from where will I receive help?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - Bless the Lord, O my soul;
my entire being, bless his holy name. - Jesus then said to her, “Do not hold on to me, because I have not yet ascended to my Father. But go to my brethren and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ ”
- You who abide in the shelter of the Most High,
who rest in the shadow of the Almighty,
say to the Lord, “You are my refuge and my fortress,
my God in whom I place my trust.” - O God, you are my God,
for whom I have been searching earnestly.
My soul yearns for you
and my body thirsts for you,
like the earth when it is parched,
arid and without water. - My life is in your hands;
deliver me from the power of my enemies,
from the clutches of those who pursue me. - My son, do not forget my teaching,
but cherish my commandments in your heart,
for they will bring you length of days,
more years of life, and an abundance of prosperity. - O Lord, hear my prayer,
incline your ear to my supplications.
In your faithfulness respond to me
with your righteousness. - When I sing to you, my lips will rejoice,
and so will my soul, which you have redeemed. - Jesus answered them,
“My teaching is not my own;
rather, it comes from him who sent me.” - The Lord God is my strength;
he makes my feet as swift as those of a deer
and enables me to tread on the heights.
I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.”A fool spurns his father’s correction,
but whoever heeds admonition is prudent. For the Lord, your God, is gracious and compassionate, and he will not turn his face away from you if you return to him.Next verse!With image
