- So shall my word be
that issues forth from my mouth.
It will not return to me unfulfilled,
but it will accomplish my purpose
and achieve what I sent it forth to do. - I love the Lord because he has heard my voice
and listened to my cry for mercy,
because he has inclined his ear to me
on the day when I called out to him. - Dispose my heart to follow your statutes
and to flee selfish gain. - But he answered me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” Hence, I will boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell within me.
- Your kindness is a greater joy than life itself;
thus my lips will speak your praise.
I will bless you all my life;
with uplifted hands I will call on your name. - As for you, my child, take strength from the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- I will extol you, my God and King;
I will bless your name forever and ever. - Nothing gives me greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
- When I realized that my foot was slipping,
your kindness, O Lord, raised me up. - Guide my steps in accord with your word
and never let evil triumph over me. - I have made a covenant with my eyes
not to look with desire upon a virgin. - O Lord, you have examined me
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I stand;
you perceive my thoughts from a distance. - My mouth is filled with your praises
as I relate your glory all day long. - Anyone who has received my commandments
and observes them
is the one who loves me.
And whoever loves me
will be loved by my Father,
and I will love him
and reveal myself to him. - I treasure your word in my heart
for fear that I may sin against you. - In my anguish I cried out;
the Lord heard my plea,
and I was saved from all my troubles. - If anyone wishes to serve me,
he must follow me.
Where I am,
there also will my servant be.
If anyone serves me,
my Father will honor that person. - Then Jesus said to those Jews who did believe in him,
“If you remain faithful to my word,
you will truly be my disciples.
You will know the truth,
and the truth will set you free.” - A word is not even on my tongue
and you, O Lord, are completely aware of it. - For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in their midst.
- But I know that my Redeemer lives,
and that at the end he will stand upon the dust. - Observe your father’s command, my son,
and do not reject your mother’s teaching. - But I will sing of your strength;
when morning dawns, I will proclaim your kindness.
For you have been my fortress,
my refuge in times of trouble. - This is how everyone will know
that you are my disciples:
if you love one another. - Acquire wisdom and gain understanding;
never forget or turn aside from my words.
If you abide in me
and my words abide in you,
you may ask for whatever you wish,
and it will be done for you. But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.Next verse!With image
