And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you.
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them.
Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.He who overcomes will be arrayed in white garments, and I will in no way blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.Those who are in the flesh can’t please God.
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.”
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed.
For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.For we all stumble in many things. Anyone who doesn’t stumble in word is a perfect person, able to bridle the whole body also.
The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us.May Yahweh our God be with us as he was with our fathers. Let him not leave us or forsake us.
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known coveting unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them, for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you.
But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.But let justice roll on like rivers, and righteousness like a mighty stream.
For with God nothing shall be impossible.For nothing spoken by God is impossible.
Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.Get wisdom. Get understanding. Don’t forget, and don’t deviate from the words of my mouth.
I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.I have set Yahweh always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.The ransom of a man’s life is his riches, but the poor hear no threats.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose confidence is in Yahweh. For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought. It won’t cease from yielding fruit.
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor, and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.“For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed, but my loving kindness will not depart from you, and my covenant of peace will not be removed,” says Yahweh who has mercy on you.
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.Haven’t you known? Haven’t you heard? The everlasting God, Yahweh, the Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn’t faint. He isn’t weary. His understanding is unsearchable.
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.Let no man say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.
And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.Yahweh himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged.
And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them.I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph. I will bring them back, for I have mercy on them. They will be as though I had not cast them off, for I am Yahweh their God, and I will hear them.

The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously.
